Shopping in NYC: Lady Gaga in Christian Dior

Before Gaga purchased her hot pink Giorgio Armani Fall 2012 combo, she was snapped wearing purple woven A-line coat with stepped mosaic pattern, three-quarter sleeves and oversized buttons by Christian Dior.

You remember the news about Gaga purchasing several pieces at Daphne Guinness record-breaking auction benefiting Isabella Blow Foundation, don’t you? Well one of the 102 lots from Daphne’s closet was precisely this beautiful Christian Dior 60′s inspired shape coat from Fall 2008 collection.

After the auction Daphne tweeted “THANK YOU my friend Lady Gaga. You are a real person. and a great one! Your proof of friendship, your time was very touching XXXX”.

What Gaga purchased at the auction, apart from Alexander McQueen ivory silk tule empire line gown (world record price for the designer at auction), was never revealed. I just immediately thought about the auction the moment I saw Gaga wearing the coat.
