Interview for Europe 1: Lady Gaga in Hellen van Rees

Nikos Aliagas tweeted below picture taken during the interview he did with Lady Gaga for Europe 1.
Gaga was wearing a spectacular wearable sculpture from Hellen van Rees Fall 2012 “Square One: The Miracle of the Space Age” collection, inspired by the tweed fabrics used by Chanel, the straight silhouette of 1920′s flapper girls and 3-dimensional artworks by Anish Kapoor and Rachel Whitebread.
All the pieces from this sustainable collection are handmade from reclyled yarns handwoven one by one directly into the shape of the architectural three-dimensional garment that, including the cubes, is totally seamless. The yarns, in shades ranging from white to black with a touch of silver, as well as the base textile, are production factory remnants or old fabrics and scraps taken apart.
After her BA Fashion Design studies at the ArtEZ Institute of the Arts in Arnhem, Hellen moved to London where she recently graduated from the MA Fashion at Central Saint Martins. Visit Hellen van Rees for more, including her just presented Spring 2012 “Square²: Exploring Excitement” collection!
