Leaving Her Hotel in London: Lady Gaga carrying Vivienne Westwood x Louis Vuitton Bag
Posted on Monday, September 10, 2012
The Luis Vuitton monogram canvas bag Gaga carried in London earlier today was designed by Vivienne Westwood for Louis Vuitton back in 1996, the year of the 100th anniversary of the signature LV monogram canvas designed by Georges Vuitton, son of the founder Louis.
To commemorate the centennial, Louis Vuitton Paris decided to invite seven big names in the fashion industry – Azzedine Alaia, Helmut Lang, Sybilla, Manolo Blahnik, Isaac Mizrahi, Romeo Gigli and Vivienne Westwood – to present their interpretation of the iconic monogram canvas in celebration of its longevity.
The bag Gaga carries right now is “Faux Cul” or “Bum” Bag by Vivienne Westwood x Louis Vuitton (photo by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin).
If you live in or plan to travel to Seoul, visit Simone Handbag Museum. “Faux Cul” is one of the highlights of their extensive bag collection, one of the finest in the world, including the latest ʻItʼ bags of the 21st century and rare specimens that date back to the 1500s!
P.S.
