Out in London: Lady Gaga wears Slim Barrett
Posted on Thursday, September 13, 2012
What would you say Gaga’s last two looks have in common, besides Princess High?
Both the crown Gaga accessorized her Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2012 couture gown with and the tiara she topped her Vivienne Westwood & Philip Treacy look with, were designed by De Beers Diamond International Award winning jewellery designer and artist Slim Barrett.
The “Pawn Crown” couture piece is made in bronze, set with mother of pearl and belongs to Slim Barrett “Chess” collection.
Gaga’s tiara, made in bronze, set with mother of pearl and moonstone, is from “East of Paris” collection inspired by Slim’s love of Eastern design and Parisian haute couture.
Slim Barrett is well known for his cooperation with Chanel, Versace, Ungaro and John Galliano, among others. Also for entering the Guinness Book of Records back in 2000 with the most valuable contemporary tiara in the world.
