Many of you told me you’d love to see the one of a kind dress, Carolina Herrera custom made for Lady Gaga’s Harper’s Bazaar “Gaga on Love & Lies” cover story.
Below, both the sketch of the bespoke sheer plastic piece with corset bodice and floor-sweeping skirt, and a picture of the Venezuelan-American fashion designer with the creation.
Both the gown and the matching headpiece were hand-painted at the House of Herrera atelier in New York.

The delicate white beauty, Lady Gaga wears in the Big Fashion Issue of Harper’s Bazaar, is custom Carolina Herrera.
Both the bespoke gown and the matching headpiece were hand-painted at the House of Herrera atelier in Midtown Manhattan.
Last time Carolina Herrera dressed Lady Gaga, was for the 54th Grammy Nominations concert and Trevor Live Benefit back in 2011.

Gaga attended the Trevor Live benefit show, where she was honoured with the Trevor Hero Award “for being an inspiration to youth and increasing visibility and understanding of the LGBRQ community. As an ally for LGBTQ people, Lady Gaga has recently founded the Born This Way Foundation to bravely empower youth to be proud of who they are, to accept and embrace one another’s humanity, and to love themselves and one another”.
“This award means more to me than any Grammy I could ever win,” Gaga said accepting her award dressed in gorgeous body loving black leather one shoulder gown (I would have loved sharing with you a close-up of the back of) with silver Swarovski crystal embroidery by Carolina Herrera.
I believe you’ve immediately recognized her Rodrigo Otazu jewels this look was crowned with.

Gaga took the stage at the Nokia Theatre L.A. on Wednesday to both open and close the 54th Grammy Nominations concert.
She opened the night with “Marry The Night” performance wearing…
… black organza cloak with voluminous ruched collar by In-House Atelier and satin lapel blazer she wore with her beloved lace-up boots.
For the closing performance, an absolutely stunning duet version of “Yoü and I” she shared the stage with multi-platinum-selling country duo Sugarland for, Gaga wore yet another bespoke look.
One shoulder black lamé silk faille gown with an oversized bow by Carolina Herrera.
After the event Gaga tweeted she felt “humbled and honored to have a Trinity of nominations from the Grammys” – Album of the Year (Born This Way), Best Pop Solo Performance (Yoü And I) and Best Pop Album (Born This Way). The 54th Grammy’s air on CBS on Feb 12, 2012!
Trinity of nominations, Trinity of designers. Gaga wore yet another look that night. A fabulously constructed LBD by a very promising young talent I’ll tell you more about in the next story!
