Exclusive: What You Didn’t Know about The Living Dress
Posted on Wednesday, January 12, 2011
Lady Gaga debuted The Living Dress in Liverpool back in February 2010.
Both the lucky crowd during that night and those of us who saw the fairytale couture in motion the day after were blown away.
Since then the dress traveled all around the world and back.
You saw it on Jonathan Ross show.
On stage…
In the Monster Ball Tour Program…
Even backstage…
But what you didn’t see until today are the making-off photos. And I’m beyond happy to say these four are Gaga Fashionland exclusive!!!
You know how keen on details I am and I wanted to share as much of them with you as possible. So I “traveled” to London to meet the lady who worked with Haus of Gaga on this project, international award winning London-based costume designer Vinilla Burhnam.
You probably know Vin from the big or small screen credits. Her work includes the iconic Catwoman (Batman Returns) catsuit or The Diva costume in The Fifth Element, among maaany others. You can go through her impressive portfolio on her official site.
She’s also created The Little Costume Shop – a limited collection of hand made miniature opera and ballet costumes. Pictures by Richard Wilding. Awww…
One of her last projects was bringing fashion onto a champagne bottle by designing a dress featured on Zarb Champagne bottle. Photos Zena Holloway.
Vin found a moment in her super busy agenda for me and patiently answered all my questions.
If you need to grab your latte or mate, this is the best moment, honey, Gaga Fashionland exclusive interview with Vin Burnham is just about to start.
