On Her Way to X Factor, part 2: Lady Gaga in Kitty Joseph

The gradient blue hexagonal perspex stunners Gaga wore with her Aquilano.Rimondi SS12 ensemble on the way to X Factor made my bold accessories loving heart spin.

Yesterday night I found out this show-stopping statement piece was handcrafted by British born and based designer Kitty Joseph for her Spring 2012 collection.

Kitty graduated from The Royal College of Art this summer with an MA in Textile Design and currently is lecturing at Coventry University in Fashion Print and Textile Design, as well as acting as a consultant colour analyst for a number of high profile trend prediction agencies with clients including Sony, Nokia and Umbro.

Her debut SS12 RTW collection is based on digital prints created through hand painted textile finishes, with “graduation of colour and the shifting timbre of tone of colour throughout a shifting spectrum” being at the heart of the collection.
