Upon her arrival at the Narita International Airport in Tokyo, Gaga was welcomed by hundreds of fans. The look she’s chosen for this occasion (that later on was stolen by Hello Kitty) consisted of…
… Moschino gown, Mugler Spring 2012 leather jacket with slit sleeves, classic YSL belt in black patent leather – iconic piece with square buckle and clean lines inspired by Yves Saint Laurent’s early collections, matching Brian Atwood pumps, signature spectacles and blonde hair bow.
For this occasion (if I find out what TV exactly it was for, I’ll let you know) Gaga rocked slightly modified cropped sand jacket and matching pants with Swarovski Elements encrusted fabric front panel from Mugler Spring 2012 collection.
The last time we saw Gaga wearing pieces from this collection, was both onstage and backstage at A Decade of Difference.
If you haven’t watched the short film about the Mugler Spring 2012 collection, inspiration behind it and cooperation with Swarovski Elements yet, here you go!
Only a very few backstage photos from A Decade of Difference event were published and no official word from la Maison Mugler but I strongly believe the Swarovski crystal-studded dress Gaga wore for the occasion with elbow high gloves and sea conch earrings…
… was custom Mugler.
Mugler Spring 2012 collection largely inspired by sand, decay and rebirth showcased several pieces made of fabric embellished with thousands of crystals by Swarovski Elements.
Watch the film produced by Swarovski, where Nicola Formichetti, who also co-directed it, talks about the inspirations and bringing the collection to life.
After black colour Gaga went for “honey”. Made about 20 years ago, these really are a precious thing to have and keep for ever and ever (and ever more).
