Back in Time: Lady Gaga in Charlie le Mindu

My friends over at Lady Gaga Now tweeted a HQ photo from Lady Gaga by Ellen Von Unwerth for OUT Magazine session styled by Nicola Formichetti a while ago, and looking at the capture I realized I’ve shared with you all I knew about almost everything she wore for this photo shoot but the wig she’s holding on this black & white picture.

Gaga posed in Atsuko Kudo Simon Basque and vintage sunglasses by Pucci, Ann-Sofie Back dress with Natacha Marro for Charles Anastase Dungeon Boots, and Boning Dress by Ara Jo.

The Skull Wig she holds belongs to wigmaker extraordinaire Charlie le Mindu first show he presented back in February 2009 as part of London Fashion Week, the inspiration for which came from a fusion of sources. Charlie wanted “mix Victorian trends with a baroque theme. Aliens and voodoo culture also influenced the styles”.

Rock Her Style: Green Wigs

This is my answer to all those tons of “green wigs” (and Gaga wigs in general) requests I got from yoü.

American Idol, part 2: Lady Gaga in Erickson Beamon

That spectacular multi-row oxidized sterling silver necklace with staggered crystal-embellished links Gaga wore on American Idol with black lycra bodysuit and broadcast standards-sensitive Void of Course platforms is…

… Bette Davis from Erickson Beamon Fall 2011 collection.

The collection was presented by the dancers from the Bolshoi Ballet Academy United States Youth Program at Milk Studios back in February (photos by Astrid Stawiarz/Getty Images) and I’m sure you’ll recognize the pieces Gaga wore for her interview on CNN, while leaving the Carnegie Hall or in the Born This Way video.

Her Frederic Aspiras blonde and black wig is one of my most favourite ever so I was very glad when I found out a look-alike version of this baby (on the right) will be available (as well as many other Gaga costumes, wigs and accessories) HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE!
