When I Met Gaga: Lady Gaga in Cologne wearing Anna-Karin Karlsson
Posted on Wednesday, April 10, 2013
Felix of Les Neiges blog, a 22 year old Lady Gaga’s fan and avid reader of Gaga FashionLand, sent me below picture of himself with Gaga, taken last year in Cologne, Germany, after The Born This Way Ball show.
Gaga wore a strawberry dressing gown, accessorized with caramel Birkin and a pair of eye catching flower appliqué sunnies.
The animal pattern frame embellished with 3D roses is “Cause I Flippin’ Can” from Anna-Karin Karlsson 2013 collection: “Perfecting the Art of Dying Alone”.
The heavily symbolic title of this year collection derives from working around and engaging in themes of grief and mourning. The line was created to show the beauty and sorrow of sacrifice and the perishability of it all: “Animals, flowers and three dimensional prints decorate heavy graphic frames. The expression is beautiful, strong and whimsical. With an air of romanticism, the designs become images of the transitory nature of human life and the premonition of death”.
Shot by Jesper and Mathias, on a Sunday morning in a cemetery in Stockholm, the campaign was modeled by “Paparazzi” video stylist, Bea Åkerlund.
“Cause I Flippin’ Can” are available in BLACK and IVORY at Anna-Karin Karlsson e-Shop.
The black & pink pair Gaga wore weeks before the collection was officially shown at Paris Fashion Week, is one off a kind!
P.S.
Do you also have pictures with Gaga wearing something we haven’t talked about yet here on GFL? Drop me a line to: patricia@gagafashionland.com (add some personal details and your Twitter, FB, blog… I can link everybody to). Once I have your photo/s and if my “outfit ID mission” is successful, the next “When I Met Gaga” can be YOURS!
